General

Which platforms does Imposio run on? macOS and Windows.

Do I need an internet connection? Imposio works offline for imposition. A connection is used for licensing and for reporting bugs from inside the app.

Files

What can I open? PDF documents.

My PDF has no bleed — what happens? You may get white edges after trimming. Re-export the source with bleed (usually 3 mm). See Marks & bleed.

Imposition

Pages are out of order after folding. For booklets, check the page count is right (multiples of 4 for saddle-stitch) and the binding edge is set correctly. See Saddle-stitch booklet.

Content disappears into the spine. Increase the binding gutter — common in perfect-bound work.

Backs don't line up with fronts (duplex). Check the backup mode (work-and-turn vs work-and-tumble) and registration. See Business cards.

Export

Which format should I send to my RIP? PDF for most workflows; multi-page TIFF or other rasters where the RIP expects them. See Export settings.

Large print looks blurry. The source resolution is too low for the final size — use higher-resolution artwork.
